September 11, 2026 | Eye of Wonder
While diving in Raja Ampat, Indonesia, photographer Charles Samama snapped this close-up image of the eye of a map puffer (Arothron mappa). The fish is distinguished by the intricate, maze-like patterns on its body. Although typically shy, this particular map puffer approached Samama, allowing him to capture a rare, intimate perspective of the species.
